The Other Half

It is a wonderful Thursday. Every day is wonderful in the Lord. For Christians knowledge is half the battle. We can know all about God’s word. We could have read the bible ten times over. We can master bible trivia.  What good is it if we do not act on it? Obtaining and keeping the knowledge of the truth is half the battle. The other half is doing it. Without action knowledge has no value. What good is having the knowledge a bridge it out, seeing warning signs that the bridge is out, and watching others suffer from the bridge being out if it does not cause you to act? Your fate will be the same as all the others who had knowledge but did not act. Only those who act will be blessed. How much action/work are putting forth in the Lord? How much of yourself are you giving? We must fight the other half of the battle. That other half is the life we have been blessed by God to live on this earth.  Go work in Christ today.  Live the word!

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matt. 13:44

“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:25

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” John 15:8

Bear fruit every day and do not let yourself become a forgetful hearer. Go work for and serve the Lord today! :)

The Effects

Make sure you are taking into account eternity with every choice you make about fun and pleasure. We will all be held accountable. As a family, we want to cultivate an environment that continually produces good wholesome fun. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 1 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV

Complaining

Complaining means it is about me. Life in Christ is not about us. Our Christian walk is about God and our neighbor. We do not get the privilege of complaining as blessed servant slaves of righteousness.  We must think twice before we speak our complaints.  (Phil. 2:14-16; Lk. 10:27)

Be Careful Judging

Judgment is wrong. Righteous judgement is not. That is, we can evaluate others lives based on the word and go to their aid when they are struggling. However, the final judgment call is by our Master.  God makes that ruling on judgement day. Be careful lest you be found making the final judgement on someone. (Romans 14:4) “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 NKJV
