Aid The Weak

Like with all teams some members are weaker. Unlike worldly teams where they are culled or cut for being week, we are to help them. Come to the aid of our week brethren and help them run the race to the finish line.  (Gal. 6:1-3)

My Team

We have the most awesome team in the world. They understand everything. They train the same way. They run the exact same race. I’m so thankful for my team, the body of Christ. Run as a team.  (Acts 2:41-47)

The Perfect One

There is one athlete who has run a perfect race. Like with all successful athletes we must break down and analyze how they accomplished such a feat. I’m glade it has already been done for us. Christ is that perfect successful athlete. We see how He ran and can copy it by reading the word. Let us do that very thing.  (1 Cor. 11:1)

Encourage Others

One of the best training an athlete can do is encourage others. We are not alone. We are all racing and training. Make sure to remember that. Make sure to apply that knowledge. Encourage each other.  (Heb. 10:25)

Exercise

We must exercise toward Godliness. No athlete is void of training. For us to run a successful race in Christ we must train. We must always be exercising toward Godliness.  (1 Tim. 4:7)

Train By Imitation

We train by imitating those who have inherited the promise. We imitate those who by faith and patience have run the race. They are our example and we should be a student of that example.  (Heb. 6:12-14)

Are We Out Matched?

We not out matched. Every scheme the Devil could or would throw at us has a way out. We need to keep our eye on the prize. We need to know who’s side we are on. We need to rely on God. That is how we will find that way out. (1 Cor. 10:13)

Our Opponent

We are racing against the Devil and powers of darkness.   They play dirty. Be ready to be tricked, tripped, and trapped while you run this race. Always be on guard. Known who you run against.  (1 Pet. 5:8)

Speed Does Not Equal Victory

Speed does not equal victory. That mindset could cost us the ability to finish. Being fleet footed as a Christian is not the key. Running is. Running as fast as you can and keeping that pace is the key. We need to set a fast pace and keep it all our lives.  (Ecc. 9:11)

Failure Can Happen

Some will never finish the race. They are hindered by the opportunity to listen to themselves, the world, and or Satan. Failure is possible. Make sure to choose obeying God over those things that hinder us.  (Gal. 5:7)

It Is Not A Sprint

Christianity is not a sprint. We must settle into the marathon concept. This does not mean we run as slow as we can to make it. But, that we run with endurance. We set a steady strong pace and keep it tell the end. (Heb. 12:1)

It Is Not Easy

This race is not easy. The life we live has its challenges and trials. It is worth every moment of effort we put forth. Let us run this difficult race with joy.  (1 Cor. 9:24)

We Are In A Race

The Christian life can be compared to a race. We have our forefathers in the faith figuratively watching in the grandstands. We have to lay aside every weight to run efficiently .  (Heb. 12:1; 11)

You Are Crazy!

“In order to be successful your focus has to be so intense people think your crazy”  Unknown To be a Christian means we are set apart. We should be so set apart people notice us. We should be so driven and focused the world wants what we have. They called the prophets, Jesus, the Apostles, and the early church crazy. Would those who see you today say your crazy for Christ?  (Acts 4:18-21; Acts 26: 24-25; Phil. 1:12-18)
