Live to Serve

To become the best we must  first become the least. We must first learn to follow before we can lead. We must first learn to serve before we can be served. We must first give before we can receive. We maybe able to be the things and have these things but it is without a full understanding. We do not know the sacrifice, work, pain, and effort that goes into anything unless we first do it our selves. If we truly want to be great we must be a servant at the cost of our selves. Christ did it! He asked you to do the same! What are you doing today to become a servant as Christ did?

“”… And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”” Matt. 20:27-28

Do not live to be served. Live to serve. Seek and save the lost. Exhort and encourage each other today. :)

Be Careful Judging

Judgment is wrong. Righteous judgement is not. That is, we can evaluate others lives based on the word and go to their aid when they are struggling. However, the final judgment call is by our Master.  God makes that ruling on judgement day. Be careful lest you be found making the final judgement on someone. (Romans 14:4) “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 NKJV

The Effects

Make sure you are taking into account eternity with every choice you make about fun and pleasure. We will all be held accountable. As a family, we want to cultivate an environment that continually produces good wholesome fun. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 1 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV

Circumstances To Rejoice In

What is a good time to rejoice? What circumstances should cause us to rejoice? Christianity is never without its opportunities to rejoice. We should rejoice when we are under persecution. (Matt. 5:11-12) We should rejoice with others who are full of joy. (Rm. 12:15) We should rejoice in our sufferings. (Col. 1:23-24) We need to rejoice in His salvation. (Isaiah 25:9) Although we might not feel like rejoicing in some of these circumstances we are called to. Joy is more than a feeling it is about knowing. In all circumstance, we know all things belong to God and all things are under His rule. Rejoice in Christ. “ if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,” C...
