Conviction

Conviction cannot be hidden. If you are convicted, it is evident. Your life will revolve around what you are strongly fixed in or on. We can get convicted of things that are bad for us. We can get convicted that certain sins are okay in moderation. We can get convicted that cultural teachings are perfect practices. That does not make it right. If we are convicted of the right things, then great things can be done. Let us be true to our conviction that Christ is the savior. Let us be convicted that we are children of God. Let us be convicted that we are soldiers for Christ. Let us be convicted that in Christ the world and sin cannot overcome us. Let your firm belief in God govern your actions.

“Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”” Luke 19:8-10

“Then Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.”” Acts 8:24

“At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.” Act 9:36

“Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” Acts 8:4

Let your godly convictions lead your life. Seek to save the lost today! :)

The Effects

Make sure you are taking into account eternity with every choice you make about fun and pleasure. We will all be held accountable. As a family, we want to cultivate an environment that continually produces good wholesome fun. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 1 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV

Complaining

Complaining means it is about me. Life in Christ is not about us. Our Christian walk is about God and our neighbor. We do not get the privilege of complaining as blessed servant slaves of righteousness.  We must think twice before we speak our complaints.  (Phil. 2:14-16; Lk. 10:27)

Be Careful Judging

Judgment is wrong. Righteous judgement is not. That is, we can evaluate others lives based on the word and go to their aid when they are struggling. However, the final judgment call is by our Master.  God makes that ruling on judgement day. Be careful lest you be found making the final judgement on someone. (Romans 14:4) “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 NKJV
