Grow Up

Yes, grow up in Christ. The things of children seem wonderful to them. For them, they are. They do not get to enjoy nor see or even understand all the great wonders and blessings that surround them every day. They are too young still and can only grasp what is right in front of them. Not only are they naive to all the bountiful blessings they are naive to all the sin and evil as well.  As Christians, we are to take off this childlike tunnel vision and embrace all the riches that are in God. This can only be done by maturing in Him. If you are not growing in Him, you are missing out on so much. When we do grow in Him, we can easily avoid the snares of the devil and celebrate all the great things in Christ.

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.  For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.  But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV

Family Light

Make sure your light is always shining no matter what your family is doing. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.   “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV

Christians In War

We have the right and responsibility to protect our God given blessings. This is not done from hate, anger or wrath. We are to make sure to protect what God has blessed us with. We are to protect our families. We can be a soldier. We can use the “sword”. Carry protection for self-defense only. Know your surroundings. Keep your defensive item it its place. Take care of and protect your family. Soldiers keep soldiering and don’t abuse your power.   Always remember we are all bound by the same rulers. “And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?” So they said, “Nothing.” Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.” So they said, “Lord, look,...

Never Quit

Bear Bryant said it best “Never Quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don’t quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don’t quit until you reach it. Never Quit.” That is one powerful statement. Christ teaches us the same thing. Christ exemplified this thought all the way to the resurrection. We have to have five things set in order to never quit in Christ.  Here they are.      1. We must know in whom we have believed. "For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Tim. 1:12 2. We must know what it takes. “Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’” Matt. 22:37 3. We cannot look back. “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit...
