Peace is not something feely given and easy to come by. I know our lives may
make it seem as if it is. That is because Christ is the prince of peace. We
must obtain peace from God. We know that by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ
we receive peace. We need to go as far as we can to preserve peace. We
must not quarrel or be quarrelsome. This is not a peace at any price. We
are to try our best within the confines of righteousness to keep the peace.
Keep the peace today.
“But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.” Matt. 5:39-40
“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,” 2 Tim. 2:24
“But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.” Titus 3:9-11
Spread the peace we have in the Lord today. Be peaceable always. Seek and save the lost today, someone is waiting for you to teach them. :)
