Peace

Peace is not something feely given and easy to come by. I know our lives may make it seem as if it is. That is because Christ is the prince of peace. We must obtain peace from God. We know that by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ we receive  peace. We need to go as far as we can to preserve peace. We must not quarrel or be quarrelsome.  This is not a peace at any price. We are to try our best within the confines of righteousness to keep the peace. Keep the peace today.

“But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.” Matt. 5:39-40

“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,” 2 Tim. 2:24

“But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned. Titus 3:9-11

Spread the peace we have in the Lord today. Be peaceable always. Seek and save the lost today, someone is waiting for you to teach them. :)

The Effects

Make sure you are taking into account eternity with every choice you make about fun and pleasure. We will all be held accountable. As a family, we want to cultivate an environment that continually produces good wholesome fun. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 1 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV

Complaining

Complaining means it is about me. Life in Christ is not about us. Our Christian walk is about God and our neighbor. We do not get the privilege of complaining as blessed servant slaves of righteousness.  We must think twice before we speak our complaints.  (Phil. 2:14-16; Lk. 10:27)

Be Careful Judging

Judgment is wrong. Righteous judgement is not. That is, we can evaluate others lives based on the word and go to their aid when they are struggling. However, the final judgment call is by our Master.  God makes that ruling on judgement day. Be careful lest you be found making the final judgement on someone. (Romans 14:4) “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 NKJV
