God & The Presidential Election

In times like these we need our knees. I know that what we want to happen today may not happen. We are not without hope. God is bigger, better, and more powerful than any long arm of graft, greed, corruption, sin, and man.  God has established His kingdom and brought to Himself a people whom He bought and paid for. Those people will stand justified and true in heaven no matter what may come.  God is faithful and just. He is true and good. We must not let go of that fact. We must no put our trust in sinful man. God will always be with those who are faithfully obedient to Him.  He has a plan. He worked that plan. He enabled that plan to save man through Christ despite man, time, government, politics, and the schemes of the devil. God has a plan. He fulfilled that plan. He will continue and finish that plan. That is whom we serve. That is whom we live for. Live and die by God and His word. Your vote should reflect that. No matter what todays end may bring one thing remains true, it is time to go to work!

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.” Dan. 2:44
“having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.  In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,” Eph. 1:9-11
“you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Pet. 2:5

“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Cor. 1:9

“in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,” Titus 1:2

“teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Matt. 28:20

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10

No matter what happens today God is bigger. Pray for our leaders that we may live quiet and peaceful lives. God wants all men to come to the knowledge of truth and be saved. Seek and save the lost! :)

Be Careful Judging

Judgment is wrong. Righteous judgement is not. That is, we can evaluate others lives based on the word and go to their aid when they are struggling. However, the final judgment call is by our Master.  God makes that ruling on judgement day. Be careful lest you be found making the final judgement on someone. (Romans 14:4) “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 NKJV

Lasting Effects

The family God setup continued to deteriorate as time went on. The same plague haunted those families that haunts ours.   If we let this plague of sin go unchecked and refuse to inoculate ourselves against it, then we too will become the rotted poor sad reflection of God’s real intent. Do not laugh at or take the  power of sin in your life and family lightly. “that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil co...

Circumstances To Rejoice In

What is a good time to rejoice? What circumstances should cause us to rejoice? Christianity is never without its opportunities to rejoice. We should rejoice when we are under persecution. (Matt. 5:11-12) We should rejoice with others who are full of joy. (Rm. 12:15) We should rejoice in our sufferings. (Col. 1:23-24) We need to rejoice in His salvation. (Isaiah 25:9) Although we might not feel like rejoicing in some of these circumstances we are called to. Joy is more than a feeling it is about knowing. In all circumstance, we know all things belong to God and all things are under His rule. Rejoice in Christ. “ if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,” C...
