Do Not Slander Your Neighbor

     
     Let us be careful to not make false and damaging statements about someone. Slander is merely making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. Why would we want to hurt someone like this? Someone once said, “You have two things in this life that will never leave you. They are your name and Jesus Christ.” What we say about people sticks to them. Somethings you can never shake. Love your brother to keep your tongue in check.

“Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy;” Psalm 101:5a NKJV

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 1:1-5 NKJV

We have the right and responsibility to protect our God given blessings. This is not done from hate, anger or wrath. We are to make sure to protect what God has blessed us with. We are to protect our families. We can be a soldier. We can use the “sword”. Carry protection for self-defense only. Know your surroundings. Keep your defensive item it its place. Never Quit

Bear Bryant said it best “Never Quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don’t quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don’t quit until you reach it. Never Quit.” That is one powerful statement. Christ teaches us the same thing.
