God’s Choice

Our prayers are petitions to God. God can choose how He will answer. We are to be in subjection to that answer. He also strengthens us and provides us with everything we need to be successful in our submission. For the very thing we are requesting to or not to happen maybe what must happen. (Heb. 5:7-10, Matt. 26:39,42; 2 Cor. 12:7-10)

In The Name Of

Everything that we do must be in the name of Jesus. The phrase “in the name of” identifies by whose authority. Everything we do we must do in and by the authority of Christ. We cannot quit because Christ is with us. Jesus made it clear if we do His commands He is with us tell the end of the age. We must work and operate within His authority and by His authority.   Success outside of this parameter is not godly success but worldly achievement. Therefore, it is nothing more than sin. Make sure you are taking into account eternity with every choice you make about fun and pleasure. We will all be held accountable. As a family, we want to cultivate an environment that continually produces good wholesome fun. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 1 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV

With Spirit

     We are to worship God in spirit and truth. Truth being His word. Our spirit is what makes us up. Our spirit is all that we have. Who cares what that sounds like or what our best may amount to, to the ears and eyes of the world. God asked for all of us. Lip service will not suffice. Man-made concepts will cause our worship to come up short in God’s eyes. Be mindful of this. Give Him all you have. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:   ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” Matthew 15:7-9 NKJV
